Welcome

Welcome to my Web site. This site will give you basic information about my psychotherapy practice. If you have questions not answered here, please contact me.

It can be scary to begin psychotherapy and contemplate sharing your deepest concerns with a stranger. I understand this, and am committed to providing a compassionate, non-judgmental, and safe space for you. Seeking therapy is often the first step to solving problems, and indicates an acknowledgement of your needs – asking for help requires strength and commitment to yourself.

Different people have varying needs in therapy, just as they do in life. Some want a free form, spontaneous and intuitive approach; some prefer organized techniques and exercises with “homework” to take out of sessions, and others want a combination of both. I am comfortable doing longer-term depth/insight, explorative, and interpretive work, as well as solution-oriented, directive brief therapy. I believe the best therapy is tailor-made for the unique individual, and that all people are resilient and have ample internal resources to overcome life’s challenges. My style is warm, empathic, interactive, and collaborative. I am passionate about doing good, effective therapy, and am wholly committed to seeing my clients through their process. Although therapy can be difficult, it can also be exciting and fun as clients discover new aspects of themselves and try out new ways of Being-in-the-World.
